on tuesday afternoon we made the trek across the state to spend thanksgivingtime with my dad, step-mom and both of my brothers! the skies were super awesome as the sun began to set
our bedroom is perfection here the best bed ever and my favorite ugly doll all nestled in the pillows
and even though my brother has his DRIVING PERMIT, which COMPLETELY FREAKS ME OUT because that means he's growing up up up, he still keeps it kid-classy by drinking lime-aid straight from the pitcher. things are just as they should be:) xox, rachel
but it started out with "the tristan homemade soy latte" which makes for very happy campers:) (thank you T1 & T2!) we drove 12 hours straight. Utah to Kansas. then we had to unload all the gear into our hotel room, which was on the 2nd floor. no elevator. i'm in a coma lying on the bed of a Quality Inn.
some of today's music included: Fiona Apple- when the pawn Nada Surf- ALL of it Robyn- body talk part 1 Jimmy Eat World- invented (we arn't sure about this one) Band Of Horses- 1st 2 albums Snow Patrol- final straw & eyes open Tegan & Sara- so jealous The Sundays- reading, writing & arithmetic and some real good playlists. goodbye L.A.!!!!! we started our trip out with some good old Jimmy Eat World. Clarity is their best album (imo), from start to finish. memories of college summer nights. *(I WILL BE POSTING A SONG HERE SOON)* fast forward 1 hour helloooo desert, mountains and ear popping. oww! good thing we had this gum which i DO recommend. DELISH

it hit me that i was "traveling" when i had to throw down 3 bucks for a pack of gum! airport prices never fail. and the gum was rancid. it did help pop my ears. it also left a uncomfortable burning sensation in my mouth. i do NOT advise you buy this gum.
i had a speedy layover in the Ft. Worth Texas Airport of which i was only half awake for as i slept a mere 4 hours last night and rose at 5:30 am. on the second leg of my flight i realized that the only pair of socks i had brought with me were the ones on my feet. EXCELLENT! but, if this is the worst thing i forgot then ALL is GOOD:)
welcome to L.A.!!! good old cali smelled like an ashtray but that was just because all the peeps were getting their fix on. me and my red luggage were waiting curbside. i was ALL amped up to see my friend....
we arrived back at annie's and i was warmly welcomed with a table full of these HANDMADE LIMITED EDITION CD's:

(source) so, i know i've been making random mentions of trips to LA, tour, music, shop going into vacation mode. i've been avoiding a long post. i don't do well with long. i just ramble. here are the facts: 1. i am going on a ROAD TRIP TOUR with my best friend Annie Stela for 17 days.
2. our show stops include: Salt Lake City UT
Topeka KS St Louis MO Buffalo MN Chicago IL DETROOOOIT (holler 4 our hometown)
Harrisburg PA Geneseo NY NYC
3. this adventure will be RIDICULOUS amounts of FUN & EXHAUSTION, lucky for us will be having massive quantities of coffee to combat the latter of the 2.......
(sidenote: i NEED to find those cinderella pink coffee mugs for my house STAT)
4. we will be staying in a colorful assortment of hotels and while both annie and myself would like to stay at this place every night......
(source) let's be real. we will be staying in places where the lighting will be offensive and the bedspreads will be best described as HIDEOUS.....
(annie, please remind me to try & steal a swatch of the fabric adorning the beds above for my interior decorator to use on my home bedroom make-over)
it's gonna be driving, setting up, annie playing a show, sleeping REPEAT! laughter and ipod listening will be taking place simultaneously.

yesterday caroline and i had a totally AWESOME photoshoot and got many things accomplished! 9 new bags, 1 train case, and 1 antique suitcase. above is just a small taste of what's coming to the shop this week. i couldn't help but share:)
