yeah, i really titled this post "Creek Daze" - HAH!
i knew i was gonna watch the entire series at some point during this pregnancy. i was just waiting for the right time. that time has come!
i could quote every line. this show is EPIC, in more ways than i can count.

Babble Nonsense Update on Life and Such....

this is what i do most every day

wake up around 1pm-ish

my awesome husband makes me scrambled eggs for the twins and brings me a huge jug o liquids to eat & drink before i get out of the bed. this whole procedure take me about an hour.

then i take my vitamins & medicines etc. and get into my ill-fitting bathing suit to go for a swim/float.

don't worry, it's not a public pool we swim in. our neighbors have a house they only use in the winter so we go there. i don't expose my GIANT tummy & chest to the public, that just wouldn't be classy.

this somehow ends up taking til 5 or 6, at which point i need to eat again. i've been going with Amy's burritos with cheese & sour cream just about every day. i'm a creature of habit. plus, if it goes down and stays down then we're golden!

then we watch something on TV. we use the XBOX to watch Netflix or Hulu Plus. lately we've been watching season 7 of HOUSE, one of our favs:)

the above photo of onsie's is just a sidebar to tell you that i LOVE LOVE LOVE stripes and i don't care about gender, our kids will be wearing BOTH of these outfits. couldn't be cuter. i'm all about NO applique things on the front of baby wear. it's just not for me. the tiny little bear logo from the baby Gap is almost too much for me, but i can tolerate it. geez, i sound like a snob!
lastly, tomorrow is a BIG DAY for our little family.
it's our 8 year anniversary- HOLLLLLLLLER!

AND
we get to go to the doc's to see the kiddos moving all around. it's our favorite thing to do.
and if this mama is feeling up to it we will go out for an early dinner to celebrate.
then back home to watch the 3rd X-MEN movie. i finally started them and i must say, i LOVE THEM!
that was a bunch of nonsense talk/update.

p.s. for those who have asked: yes, we are DEFINITELY finding out the sex of the babies. we aren't getting our hopes up for tomorrow, as i'm only 16.5 weeks, but by our next appt we should be finding out so i will be sure and keep you posted!

normally i'm not a fan of colored ink, like, for me, personally. but these stripes have changed my mind!

again, i never would have thought i would SWOON over anchor tatt's but these are just RAD!
i wish my husband liked tattoos more
oh well, one day maybe he'll be down for me getting another one.

Instagramaddict PART 2

ugh! i miss my camera BUT i do ADORE my iphone and all of it's AMAZING apps and then i can Instagram them all and somehow this fills a tiny bit of the void of not being able to take photos. hoping the 2nd trimester (which starts june 24th) will give me some energy:)

in the meantime, here is what i've been doing......

1. finding striped couches at thrift stores that i have no place in my home for but figure the next best thing to do is snap a photo of it

2. making these pom pom things to make this pretty rad necklace

3. figured out that Pomegranate IZZE is the way to go for my tummy cause it's super sour and bubbly delicious

4. was gifted 1 awesome vintage robot found in London via Caroline

5. decided i'm a collector of vintage luggage tags, not a hoarder;)

6. got some pretty red vintage buttons from my MIL. love her!

7. took a pic of my IZZE bottles cause i thought they looked pretty in my kitchen

8. fell in LOVE with the 1st of 2 quilts that i designed and my mother in law actually made. can't wait to put them to use

9. was beyond groggy & boycotted leaving the bed

10. bought pretty striped baskets and more felt for getting crafty. i've got plans.....

11. went to Salvation Army where i walked around for maybe 5 minutes, found a bag, then had to have robert pay for it because i was about to pass out from standing so long and needed to go sit in the air conditioned car

12. made a plan to use my favorite corduroy fabric that i bought over 8 years ago!

13. loved on my vintage russian clock

14. realized that my hair is turning the jet of all jet-blacks and getting even thicker than before. it's now a wild jungle mane

15. shared this movie with a friend and of course, she loved it, you can read more about this in the previous post:)

16. and last, i've been making myself feel fancy by drinking my super duper extra sour homemade lemonade out of my vintage high-ball glasses that i bought from jenny over at frecklewonder

yeah, i know, i'm a PARTY ANIMAL. the fun just never stops;)

p.s. we saw the babies at the dr. yesterday and they were kicking their feet and swinging their little fists like crazy. they are healthy and busy, Busy, BUSY! we had the BEST time watching them:)

this is hands down Katie Holmes BEST film ever!
i adore this movie. every time i watch it i fall more in love.
every character is perfectly cast
it has a HAPPY ending, which a LOT of indie films seem to avoid these days, which is a bummer.
and the soundtrack is beautiful:)

so, yeah. i'm 200% addicted to this whole Pinterest business
i cannot stop pinning!
i'm sick on the couch and really unable to do much so right now this pinning is sorta saving my life. keeping me inspired. we LOVE it.
all 3 of us do;)
and i'm knitting us a blanket. there is gonna be a WHOLE LOTTA SHARING GOING ON around these parts. and i'm THRILLED!
no one likes a spoiled kiddo.
i had never EVER thought about having twins. the mere mention of it sounded like TERROR. but now, as it all settles in. i think TWINS are gonna rock my world. built in best friend for life.

"Holy Doubling Up!".......

........that was the text i received from my father before i even left my dr. appt. yesterday.
i guess that's what happens when my husband AND my sister come with me to an appointment and the doc finds 2 HEARTBEATS in 2 LITTLE PEANUTS in my tummy.
Twins do NOT run in either of our fams so to say i was shocked to my very core is putting it mildly.
since then i've been every kind of not-so-fun emotion. but i'm ending today on a positive note. i've been blessed and encouraged in more ways than i can count in the past 24 hours. i'm not gonna lie...... i'm still terrified somewhere but i've got a peace right now.
too nauseated to write more but thankful i could even get this much down.
all you tweeters & facebook loves are INNNN-CREDIBLE!

i'm basically to sick to do ANYthing. All i can manage to do is occassionally shoot pictures on my iphone and Instagram em'.
i don't know why they call it morning sickness- it's 24/7 over here. apparently this is healthy??? apparently this is all worth it??? since this is my first go around i can't disagree with all these wiser & DEFINITELY STRONGER women than me.
all i can do is shake my leg and moan, while drinking sparkling lemonade, which ROCKS!

where to start?

so much to tell. so much still happening........
i am almost 8 weeks pregnant and very sick. we are super excited but right now i am so sick that my excitement has definitely been a bit deflated. but i'm pushin through:)!

my brother Tristan was taken to the hospital last week because he had/has a condition called pneumo-thorax, air between his heart and shoulder, outside of the lung. he had to have emergency surgery, where they removed a coke can's worth of air and then inserted a tube into the left side of his chest to try and remove the excess air. after a few days of the tube being in, his progression stalled and a CAT scan revealed that there was another bit of air in his other lung as well. back to the drawing board the doctors went.....

this morning tristan underwent another, more aggressive surgery. 2 surgeons, 1 working on each lung. it took about 2 hours but everything went really well. he is groggy, waking up and in quite a bit of pain but he is a FIGHTER and super healthy so we are elated!

thanks so much to everyone for your support & prayers. our family has been super duper blessed by it all:) below is a photo of Tristan with his 1st battle wound. talk about hardcore! yep, the KID is my HERO:)
