The Freshmen

the first time i heard this song i was in high school and it was an acoustic version by the original writer Brian Vander Ark of "The Verve Pipe". it was so much better than the version they put out on their record.
i listened to it on repeat, night after night, day after day.

i found this version that rivals the original.
i just want to lie down on the floor of my office and listen to this song over and over.
in light of this week being a week to be full of hope, a week to spread the movement of LOVE for those suffering from depression, i find myself recollecting stories of my past.
it's stirring up my most painful times.
but i am hopeful because i got through them.
life is hard, it is painful, it is a whirlwind of emotions
but it is WORTH IT!
brian's words:
"We've tried to wash our hands of all of this
We never talk of our lacking relationships
And how we're guilt stricken sobbing with our heads on the floor
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip....."
it's time to talk friends
it doesn't have to be public, it doesn't have to be loud
but it needs to be said.
if you are struggling please tell someone. visit this website if you don't have someone in your life that you can talk to directly
there is HELP
there is HOPE
YOU ARE LOVED
even if you can't feel it.
